How do I find my ECUTEK and Vehicle Information?

In order for Fab9 to begin your ECUTEK tuning process, you'll first need to receive your tuning hardware in the mail. Prepared with your ECUTEK Bluetooth/USB Cable and your DESKEY USB Dongle, grab your windows based laptop and head out to your car!

1. Head over to the ECUTEK website and click on the "Downloads" header.  Or head straight over to www.ecutek.com/downloads/software/ecutek-app-downloader 

2. From there, download the app downloader and click it to open the install window (It should be in your downloads folder if you didn't specify a location to install to). 

3. Once you've started the installation process it will ask you to plug in your EcuTek USB Interface or your Bluetooth ECU Connect unit along with your license key. 

4. If this is your first time using this License Key, STOP HERE and send the GREEN numbers to Products@Fab9Tuning.com. We will need to register it before you proceed! 

If your ECUTEK License Key is registered, proceed.

5. If you click "Download Now" it will check and download the new software from the web. With everything downloaded, you should see a shortcut on your desktop for the software. It will list your dongle ID in case you have multiple so you can keep them straight. Make sure to keep in mind that only the listed dongle will be able to open the software associated with the correct ID. 

6. Once completed, you should have a desktop icon representing ProECU followed by your Dongle ID. This is the Dongle ID that we need to build your tune. Next, let's collect your Calibration ID!

7. Open ProECU and you'll see a thin menu bar. From here, connect to your car using the ECUTEK OBD connection and a USB cable. 

8.  Click Tools>Identify ECU. Once selected it will query the ECU CAL ID and VIN Number and bring up a list of ROMs that have that CAL ID.

9. When you visit the ECUTEK calibration request form, you'll enter your DONGLE ID and CALIBRATION ID in the submission form. That form can be found HERE!
